The Alice Object emerges from a dialogue between past and present. Its rounded porcelain form and parallel handles echo the ancient amphora, reimagined through a contemporary, sculptural lens. 

As both vessel and art object, it carries a subtle monumentality — an homage to historical form distilled into modern clarity. Filled with fruits, herbs or seasonal elements, it naturally becomes a curated still life and a gentle focal point within the interior.

Crafted in porcelain, the Alice Object holds a quiet material integrity. The color lives within the clay itself, creating a sense of depth and permanence that endures over time. Unusual in both scale and execution, the piece required a more considered making process — an approach that balances precision with intuition.

Named after Louise Roe’s dog, Alice reflects a composed and understated presence: gentle, attentive, and quietly noble.
