LOUISE ROE & byKATO design a table together

Dreams and ideas are often set free when two designers meet – a coincidence of interest was the beginning of the friendship between byKATO and LOUISE ROE. The desire to in design a piece of furniture together arose at fairs in Milan and Shanghai, where both designers have exhibited several times. The interest translated to a collaboration and at last, "The Jewel Table" came to be.

The table's rigorous and stylish design draws notes from the graphic Bauhaus tradition with the simple black lines while the decadent black faceted glass reminiscent of the art deco style with the elegant tabletop with glossy finish.

"It's been a great and dynamic teamwork to work with byKato. I have for a longer period wanted to design a piece of furniture that can serve as a framework for my other interior designs. I am happy for "The Jewel Table" - that fit our frame of design "Dare to Deco".
The table is a beautiful compromise between the Bauhaus and Art Deco style.
I think we are going to see more designs where older styles will be revisited and mixed with each other – in that way we create a new story.

The table is made in Denmark and consists of a matte black powder coated iron frame and a glossy black facet cut glass.
